BALKANIC GOLDEN RACE 2020
RECEIVING OF THE ENTRIES:
- Entry period: 1 April 2020 - 1 June 2020. Maximum capacity of the lofts is 1250 pigeons (without free teams).
- Youngsters must wear rings from 2019, recognized by a pigeon federation.
- From the time of registration, pigeons become the property of the Balkanic Golden OLR. Ownership cards must be sent when shipping / bringing pigeons.
- Pigeons must be healthy and vaccinated against paramyxovirus at least 14 days before being dispatched.
- The active pigeon is defined as the pigeon to which the activation fee has been paid. Only active pigeons compete for prizes.
REGISTRATION FEE:
- 600 EUR / team of 5 pigeons, no pigeon is active. The total amount of the entry fees (except free teams from 2019) will be distributed in full to the prize money.
- A breeder (tandem, syndicate) can enter an unlimited number of teams (team A, team B, etc.).
- If no pigeon from a team (except free teams from 2019) will be basketed at the Final, the participant may enter a team for the 2021 edition free of charge on the same name.
ACTIVITATION FEE:
- 120 EUR / pigeon, after the first training from 100 km.
- If an active pigeon is missing on basketing for Race 1 and will not be basketed at any subsequent trainings / contests, the activation fee will be returned.
- Activations are not refunded if pigeons do not return from Race 1 or the following trainings / contests.
- Pigeons that will not be activated by the original participants can not be activated by third parties and will not be basketed for the next competitions.

12.09.20 Final - 500 km (UA)
Pigeons will be trained between the races, their distance and frequency depending on the weather prognosis and the conditions of the pigeons.
PRIZE MONEY:
- 1st place = 30,000 EUR at the Final is guaranteed, regardless of the number of participating pigeons.
- The rest of the prizes are calculated for 1250 pigeons - 250 paid teams (maximum capacity of the lofts) and will decrease proportionally if this number is not met.

- Trophies will be awarded to the first 10 pigeons arriving from the Finals, the first 5 pigeons arriving from the Semifinal and the first 5 Ace Pigeons.
ACE PIGEON CHAMPIONSHIP:
- Wins the pigeon with the lowest flying time (Overall variant / Benzing) of all Races, Semifinal and Final. In the event of a tie, the winning pigeon will be the one with the better place in the Final.
SUPER DERBY (NIKOLAEV 550 km):
- Arrived pigeons from Final (except for the first 10 arrivals and the first 3 Ace pigeons, who will be auctioned online) can be activated for Super Derby in a joint liberation with the national UCPR YB Race, Nikolaev (UA) on 26.09.2020, biggest in Romania.
- Pigeons that will not be activated by the original participants will be offered for sale in online auction.
- Pigeons can be activated after the Final for EUR 120 / pigeon. If an active pigeon is missing on Super-Derby basketing, the activation fee will be returned.
Prize money Super Derby:
- The prize money fund (80% of activations amount) will be divided to the first 5 arrivals, as follows:
1 Place = 50%
2 Place = 20%
3 Place = 15%
4 Place = 10%
5 Place = 5%
AUCTION:
1. Pigeons will be offered for sale through an online auction.
2. The person who registered the pigeon will receive 50% of the paid bid after the auction costs have been deducted.
3. Participants who do not send pigeon pedigrees until the Final date lose the right to the auction.
4. Participants who do not send pigeon ownership cards until the Final date lose the right to the auction.
5. WARNING! Pedigrees that are not accompanied by ownership cards will not be published in the online auction (except for countries that do not use ownership cards)!
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
The organizers reserve the right to change or modify the date / place of any contest, depending on the weather conditions and / or other cases of force majeure.
The hourly neutralization interval will start 30 minutes after the official sunset (Bucharest) on that day and will end 30 minutes before the official dawn (Bucharest) on that day.
The duration of each contest is determined by the organizers.
