Semifinal - 350 km - 6th of August 2010

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

• Pigeons must wear 2010 life rings.
• Entry fee is 75 €/pigeon, no limit of entries.
• You can enter pigeons between 1st of March – 1st of May.
• Lost pigeons could be replaced until 15th of May.
• Pigeons must be accompanied by pedigrees and property card.

RESERVE PIGEONS

For every 3 paid pigeons, you have the possibility of sending 1 reserve pigeon (for 6 paid pigeons, 2 reserve pigeons; for 9 paid pigeons, 3 reserve pigeons, etc). If the reserve pigeon will not be used (you will not lose any paid pigeon), you have the possibility to activate it starting with 7 days before 1st official race (Hot Spot). The reserve pigeons that will not be activated 2 days before the 1st race, can be activated by a third part or even by more persons (someone activates it for Final Race, someone else activates it for Semifinal).

SEMIFINAL

• It is optional to enter pigeons for Semifinal prize money. If you would like to participate, an additional entry fee of 25 €/pigeon must be paid when you send the pigeons. You can pay for one, more or all pigeons that you entered for Final Race.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

• Pigeons could be sent by you using international courier services or could be collected by organizers. We could organize at least 2 collections from Europe, at the end of March and end of April. If you choose to collect your pigeons, a tax of 5 € / pigeon will be added for transport expenses.

AUCTION

• All returned pigeons from Final Race will be public auctioned. The owner (person which entered the pigeon) will receive 50% of auction sum, after the deduction per pigeon of auction expenses (pigeon photo shooting, photos processing, online auction maintenance, publicity costs in pigeon publications, auctioneer, etc).
• Participants who do not supply the organizers with the pigeons pedigrees until the Final Race day, will loose the right to receive 50% from auction.

FINAL RACE & PRIZE MONEY

• The distance of the Final Race will be 500 km. To see the prize money, please click HERE.

• Prizes money for Final Race and Ace-pigeon Championship are subject of at least 1000 paid entries.

• Prizes money for Semifinal are subject of minimum 500 paid entries.

ACE-PIGEON CHAMPIONSHIP

• All entered pigeons compete for Ace-pigeon Championship.
• The Ace-pigeon is the pigeon with the shortest combined flight time, in 3 races (Hot Spots), Semifinal and Final Race. In case of an equal, the pigeon with the best place in Final Race will win.
• Pigeons returned after official closing time of Final Race will not be included in this Championship.
• Prize money are 1500€, 1000€ and 500 € for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

The organizers reserve the right to change the data of trainings and races without notice. In case of major force (i.e. avian influenza), organizers reserve the right to modify the trainings and races program, including the date and distance of Final Race.
